  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Roll dough
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey (or a plant-based alternative)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions (optional) Can be omitted for a milder flavor.
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes (optional) Add for extra freshness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat until fully cooked. Add the taco seasoning and about 1/4 cup of water as directed on the seasoning packet. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Open the can of crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. On a greased baking dish, lay out the crescent roll triangles, creating a bowl for the filling.
Assembly and Cooking
  1. Pour the taco meat mixture into the center of the crescent roll base. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  2. Fold any overhanging parts of the crescent roll dough over the filling and place any leftover triangles on top.
  3. Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
Serving
  1. Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with your favorite toppings.
