Ingredients

For the garlic butter
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the main dish
  • 4 large flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or blend) Feel free to be generous.
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Prepare the Garlic Butter
  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter and minced garlic. Add the Italian seasoning, if using, along with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Prepare the Tortillas
  1. Lay out the tortillas and evenly spread the garlic butter mixture on one side of each tortilla.
  2. Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded cheese over the buttery side of each tortilla.
Air Fry the Tortillas
  1. Preheat your air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Place the tortillas in the basket, buttered side up. You may need to do this in batches.
  3. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are crispy.
  4. Carefully remove them from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly before slicing into wedges.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley for an extra touch.

Notes

Choose flour tortillas for a softer texture or corn tortillas for a crunchier bite. Monitor cooking time as air fryers vary. Do not skip the garlic butter.
